Dengue Claims 14 Lives in Laos this year
(KPL) The first six months have witnessed 14 people’s lives claimed by dengue fever with five casualties reported in Vientiane Capital, three each in Savannakhet and Champassak, two in Saravan and one in Bolikhamxay.
The National Center for Laboratory and Epidemiology under the Ministry of Health has reported that the mosquito borne disease has also infected thousands of people across the country including over 1,500 people in Champassak, 719 in Savannakhet, 718 in Vientiane Capital, 466 in Attapeu, 266 in Luang Namtha, 234 in Khammuan, 244 in Saravan, 135 in Borikhamxay, 69 in Xekong, 68 in Vientiane, 26 in Luang Prabang, 25 in Xayaboury and four in Bokeo.
